Fireworks

So do you all remember when we were kids and they used to have the big fireworks show on the 4th?  Why are some of the places doing fireworks at the end of June, its kinda like having Santa at the mall in October...WTF???  Why are we in such a rush to get to things that have been around for so long, rushing it isn't going to make it come quicker, just draws it all out, takes the special out of it.
